REASON: Traces of aromatic amines (AZO dyes) in the pink and purple print
OUTFITTERS NATION recalls a T-shirt in two colours due to finding of traces of aromatic amines in the print.
OUTFITTERS NATION conducts regular tests in international laboratories to ensure that our products are in compliance with our chemical restrictions and safety requirements. Unfortunately we have found that the above mentioned OUTFITTERS NATION T-shirt does not meet the authorities and our own quality and safety restrictions. The tests have shown traces of aromatic amines in the pink and purple print on the T-shirt. These aromatic amines are considered illegal according to EU legislations. We are carefully investigating this breach in our restrictions in order to actively prevent any recurrence.
It is illegal to colour textiles and leather with AZO dyes that can release one or more of 22 aromatic amines. The ban applies to textile and leather articles which may come into direct contact with skin or oral cavity for a longer period of time. The 22 amines are banned because of their carcinogenic properties.We have therefore immediately recalled the T-shirt from all point of sales.
OUTFITTERS NATION gives anyone who possesses this specific T-shirt the possibility to return it to any OUTFITTERS NATION store or to the store where it was purchased. Customers are also welcome to send the T-shirt to OUTFITTERS NATION, Fredskovvej, 7330 Brande, Denmark. Customers will of course receive a full refund.
