Olympic Look

The 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing are fast approaching and it will not be long before the entire Danish delegation will enter the Olympic stadium wearing their Olympic clothes, designed by Bestseller for the opening ceremony.

Recently, the Danish Olympic committee held a press event to present the flag bearer who will walk in front of the Danish delegation at the opening ceremony. At the same event, the clothes for the ceremony were also revealed to the public. Shot putter, Joachim B Olsen, who was chosen as flag bearer, entered the historic ‘Østerbro Stadium’ in Copenhagen along with swimmer, Lotte Friis. Both were dressed in the clothes the entire Danish team will wear on the night of the opening ceremony in Beijing in front of billions of television viewers.

Bestseller’s Olympic collection has been underway since 2006 and it is an extensive and versatile collection, which includes the clothes for the opening ceremony. The men will wear a red polo shirt made of organic cotton, along with Jack & Jones trademark jeans. The women will wear a white polo in a feminine cut also made of organic cotton from Vero Moda together with a bright red skirt. All the athletes will also get a bag to carry the basic necessities for this very special event.
