Team Danmark and Bestseller fight for gold to Denmark

In 2006, Bestseller entered a partnership with Team Danmark as official Olympic partner until the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008.

The entire Olympic spirit fits well with Bestseller’s culture as the Olympic Games are characterised by people who work hard to create positive results. As a part of the partnership, Bestseller designed an Olympic collection for the Danish Olympic team to wear at the opening ceremony, receptions and other official events.

"Bestseller’s Olympic partnership means a great deal seen from a Danish perspective, and we aim to do a great job that will bring joy and pride to all of our colleagues around the world. We also hope to make the Danish Olympic team feel privileged and excited about wearing Bestseller’s Olympic collection in Beijing, says Anders Holch Povlsen, managing director in Bestseller and adds “Bestseller is Team Danmark’s partner for the Summer Olympics 2008, mainly because the games are held in Beijing, China. In China, we have many activities, therefore the partnership seemed like a natural thing for us”.

For Team Danmark, the partnership with Bestseller is also very important. “The increasing keen international competition means that the financial funds from our main sponsors become more and more important regarding the performance of the Danish athletes. Our goal for the Danish Olympic team is to win eight medals in Beijing, and Team Danmark’s main sponsors - including Bestseller – are important partners in the race for medals, says Michaels Andersen, managing director in Team Danmark.
