Good advice when applying for a job at Bestseller At Bestseller we receive many solicited and unsolicited applications from applicants who are looking for jobs at our offices in Denmark or abroad – which we are, of course, very pleased about. Bestseller continuously needs talented and committed employees who are competent in many different areas of expertise. It is important for us that you get to know the values that our workplace is built upon and that you write a targeted and motivated application. This ensures the best starting point for the recruitment process, both for you as the applicant and for us as a company.
We would like to offer you some advice you can use when applying for a job at Bestseller.
Solicited applications Read the job advertisement carefully and use your competencies and work-related experience to tell us how you match the specified job requirements.
Please notice where the job is located geographically and feel free to elaborate on how you feel about this, if you live far from the primary location of the job.
Describe yourself so that it is clear what is important for you – both in regard to your private life and your working life.
Limit your motivated application to one page and always attach a comprehensive CV.
You may also attach a photo of yourself, examination certificates, and relevant references and testimonials.
Proofread your application.
If you have questions about the vacant position before sending your application, you are always welcome to contact the person stated at the bottom of each job advertisement as the contact person.
If you are not offered the position you applied for, and if you have stated in the electronic application form that you wish to be taken into consideration for other positions at Bestseller, your application will automatically be transferred to our CV database, where we will keep your application on file for six months. This is only the case for positions at one of our offices in Denmark.
Unsolicited applications
If you wish to send an unsolicited application, the advice given above is also important, though with the difference that you are not applying for a specific, advertised position. Therefore it is important that you emphasise your most important personal and professional competencies, and that you describe how you see them being used. You should tell us which areas of expertise or jobs you wish to be taken into consideration for.
All unsolicited applications that are targeted at one of our offices in Denmark are read through by Bestseller’s recruitment department once the application is received and then forwarded to relevant departments where there are actual open positions. If it is not possible to match your application with an actual open position, the application will be transferred to Bestseller’s CV database.
We always search Bestseller’s CV database looking for current candidates when we have a job vacancy.
If you wish to make an unsolicited application to one of Bestseller’s offices abroad, the application should be sent directly to the office in question. This also applies if you wish to apply to one of our stores. At the bottom of the page you can find links to contact information.
When you go back to the "Jobs" page, you read more about how to send an unsolicited application, about internship opportunities, about Bestseller’s apprentice education or how to apply for vacant positions at Bestseller.
We look forward to receiving your application, and we wish you luck with your future job search.
